The roles of CINDERELLA'S PRINCE and THE WOLF will be played by FRANK MORAN* (*Member, AEA)
We will ask that you perform a short piece of music (1-2 minutes in length, but please not something from Into the Woods). This audition will be singing only. Accompanist will be provided
The role of THE WITCH will be played by StG alumna EMILY JANSEN.
INTO THE WOODS will have approximately five weeks of rehearsal beginning Monday, April 30th, 2018 at (location TBD). Rehearsals take place primarily in the evenings with some weekends. There will be a stipend of $300 given to each actor cast.

The role of THE BAKER will be played by StG Company Member KYLER CHASE.
After auditions have been completed, you will receive a call within 24 hours of the last audition time if you are called back for a role. If you are not called back, you will receive an email notification within 48 hours of the last audition.

Callbacks will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2017, from 10-2pm at The Crane Theater in Minneapolis. Callbacks will consist of readings from the script as well as selected music from Into the Woods (both provided in advance). There is plenty of free parking in the lot outside The Crane!

Into the Woods will be directed by StG Artistic Director Ryan Nielson with music direction by Randy Buikema. Into the Woods will be presented at The Crane Theater in Minneapolis, MN, with a total of 16 performances running June 7th - July 1st, 2018.
The following roles are available for our production of INTO THE WOODS:
THE BAKER'S WIFE
Determined and bright woman who wishes to be a mother. (late twenties to mid thirties)
A young, earnest maiden who wishes to go to the King's Festival. (early to late twenties)
A young girl who is fearless and impetuous. (late teens to late twenties)
A young man who wishes for freedom and adventure. (late teens to late twenties)
Overprotective but good-natured, she wants to preserve Jack's youth and innocence. (forties/fifties)
Younger brother of Cinderella's Prince, he lives for the next maiden to chase through the woods. (late teens to late twenties)
A young maiden who has been locked in a tower all her life; wishes to see the world outside. (late teens to early twenties)
A pleasant story-teller who helps to orchestrate the play to the audience. (thirties and up - may double as additional roles)
THE MYSTERIOUS MAN
A mischievous vagrant; a creature of the woods. (fifties and up - may double as additional roles)
FLORINDA and LUCINDA
Cinderella's stepsisters: beautiful of face but vile and black of heart. (early to late twenties)
Demanding, often mean-spirited stepmother of Cinderella. (late forties and up)
The right-hand man of Cinderella's Prince. (late twenties and up)
Deceased, but her soul and magic aid her daughter from a tree which marks her grave. (age undetermined - may double as additional roles)
Aggressive hermit and self-reliant grandmother of Little Red. (sixties and up - may double as additional roles)
Voiceover. The wife of the Giant slain by Jack, she seeks restitution for her loss. (age undetermined - may double as additional roles)
SNOW WHITE and SLEEPING BEAUTY
Two young maidens who may play additional roles as well as provide assistance throughout the production. (late teens to late twenties)
